Terms
Terms & conditions
The small print for booking, ordering and dining with Saltwood, written as plainly as we could.
Template text for demonstration. Please have it reviewed by a qualified adviser for your jurisdiction before going live.
About these terms
These terms apply when you book a table, place an order, buy a gift card or otherwise use the services of Saltwood through this website or in our restaurants. By using our services you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email hello@saltwood.co.uk before you book or order.
Reservations & cancellations
A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us. We hold tables for 15 minutes after the booked time; if you are running late, please call the branch and we will do our best to help.
- Please let us know as early as possible if you need to cancel or change the number of guests, and at least 24 hours in advance.
- For larger groups, tasting menus or special events we may ask for a deposit or card guarantee. The amount and refund terms are shown before you confirm.
- Tables are booked for a set time, which we will tell you when you book, so that we can welcome the next guests.
- Repeated no-shows may mean we ask for a deposit on future bookings.
Online orders
When you place an order you will receive a confirmation with an estimated ready time. The minimum order is £15. Prices on the website include any applicable taxes. Dishes can occasionally sell out; if we cannot fulfil part of your order, we will contact you and refund anything we cannot provide.
Once we have started preparing your food, we cannot usually cancel or change your order. If something is not right, tell us within 24 hours and we will make it right.
Collection & delivery
- Collection orders are usually ready in about 25 minutes. Please bring your order confirmation when you collect.
- Delivery is available from selected branches within a set radius. A delivery fee of £3.50 applies to orders under £40.
- Delivery and ready times are estimates and can vary at busy times or in bad weather.
- Food should be eaten promptly, or refrigerated and reheated thoroughly. All packaging is compostable or recyclable.
Gift cards
- Gift cards can be used at any Saltwood branch for food and drink, and for online orders where stated.
- They are valid for the period shown on the card, cannot be exchanged for cash and any unused balance stays on the card until it expires.
- Please treat a gift card like cash: we cannot replace lost or stolen cards unless they are registered to you.
Allergies & dietary needs
Please tell us about any allergy or intolerance before you order, every time you visit or order. Our menus show the main allergens in each dish, and our team is happy to help you choose.
Our kitchens handle all major allergens, and ingredients from suppliers can change. While we take great care, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from traces of allergens. Dietary labels such as vegetarian or vegan describe the ingredients we use, not a certified allergen-free environment.
Prices & payment
Prices are shown in GBP and may change without notice, though the price at the time you confirm an order or booking is the one you pay. A discretionary service charge may be added for dine-in guests; it is always optional and shared with our team.
In our restaurants
We want every guest to feel welcome. We may refuse service or ask guests to leave where behaviour affects the safety or enjoyment of others or of our team. Please look after your belongings, as we cannot accept responsibility for items left unattended.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or for delays caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and your statutory rights are not affected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you book or order applies. These terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, as applicable to the branch you visit. Questions? Get in touch.
